Reverend Dr. Tara Sutton

The Rev. Dr. Tara Sutton is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and has completed her Bachelor of Arts at Northwestern University, Masters of Divinity at Garrett Evangelical Seminary, and Doctorate of Ministry at Ecumenical Theological Seminary.

Dr. Sutton serves Halsey and South Mundy UMC in Grand Blanc. She has served as the District Superintendent for the Crossroads district and pastored several churches in the United Methodist denomination.

Rev. Sutton has taught at Wesley Seminary and Payne Theological Seminary and has led workshops and seminars on spiritual formation, stewardship, and the importance of foreign missions. These workshops have challenged both clergy and laypersons to be more effective in missions and ministry.

Dr. Sutton practices the spiritual disciplines such as prayer, meditation and fasting which helps to strengthen her faith in God. She has been a faithful servant of God, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 34 years.
